  • During the installation procedure I am asked for a serial number. I do not have any serial number, since I downloaded the trial version of AlligatorSQL. What should I do?
    To activate the AlligatorSQL trial version you do not need a valid serial number. Just enter anything into that field and after the installation, AlligatorSQL will start as trial version. Please provide the name of the registered person and continue the installation. AlligatorSQL will start as trial version automatically.
  • My trial period has expired. Unfortunately I didn't have enough time to test the AlligatorSQL during the past 30 days. Is there a chance to extend the trial period?
    Yes. Please start the AlligatorSQL and open the “Registration information” dialog from the “?” menu. Please note the “Date of installation” and the “Registered to” values as you will need them later.
    Then, fill in the “Extend Trial Version” form on our website. First, for identification purposes, you are asked to enter your email address and then to fill out a form including the “Registered to” and “Date of installation” fields. Upon sending the data to our server we will automatically send you an email with the key extending the license. This key needs to be entered into the registration dialog which will extend the trial period for 30 days.
  • When trying to connect to our oracle instance I get the error message “Module not found”. What should I do?
    Please verify that you entered the correct location of the “OCI.DLL” in the connection dialog. If you did not, you need to select the “OCI.DLL” delivered to you with your client installation of oracle database server using the file browser dialog.
    Please verify also, that the version of oracle database you are trying to connect to fits the client installation version of oracle, which you are using e.g. an oracle version 8.0.5 client installation is compatible with oracle server version 9.2.x.
  • I have an idea for an improvement proposal and would like to send you this information. Do you give the opportunity to publish improvement proposals?

  • I would like to order AlligatorSQL. Is the maintenance contract (phone hotline, training and installation of the software) included in the license fee?
    No. When ordering AlligatorSQL you are obtaining the right to use our product. Hotline, training, installation and all additional services are not included in the purchase price. To obtain maintenance, hotline and other additional services please contact our sales office sales@alligatorsql.de. These kinds of services are arranged for individually customized maintenance contracts.
  • Does your company have a reseller concept? We are resellers and would like to admit AlligatorSQL to our assortment.

  • Do you guarantee update protection?
    Not in general. In case you wish to get update protection, you can have corresponding arrangements in a maintenance contract, which must be concluded in this case.
  • Does the Alligator Company Software GmbH give discount for university workers or students?
    Yes. We offer our products to universities with no license fees, hence the use of AlligatorSQL in this case is at no expense.

  • What does cross development and administration stand for?
    Cross development and administration stands for the opportunity to develop and administer multiple relational database systems of different vendors at the same time using the same tool. This includes features such as: connecting to multiple databases, transporting data from one server to the other and creating performance analysises on all connected servers.
    AlligatorSQL Enterprise Edition is the only cross development tool for relational databases currently available on the market.
  • I have an administration tool and would like to switch to AlligatorSQL. Do you give switching discount?
    Once in a while we have sale campaigns with special switching discounts. Within those campaigns we give rebates on purchased licenses, but not for maintenance contracts.
